Welcome --- Let us tell you a bit about ourselves ...

Colby consultants all have a strong background in both Lean Manufacturing and -The Old Way. In previous lives, we have worked with a wide variety of organizations, to include: Toyota, Dr. Womack and Shingijutsu to transform our traditional batch and queue operations, and those of our suppliers, into Lean Enterprises.

Operational experience includes every level of the organization from VP of Operations, Plant Mangers, to Managers of: Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Product Development and Materials. We have all been front line supervisors (probably the world's toughest job) during our careers in both union and non-union environments.

Educational experience runs the gamut from Undergrads through Doctorates. Most of us have taught at the undergrad, graduate and/or vocational level. We also have instructed Six Sigma at a variety of firms.

Colby's product knowledge is diverse: the automotive industry and their suppliers, medical equipment and supplies, capital equipment, military ordnance, consumer products, construction equipment, power tools, and even an orchestra.? We have dealt with product TAKT times (rate of customer usage) from fractions of seconds to days.

We all have a strong belief in the results you can achieve by implementing lean initiatives because we have been there, done that, and seen how amazing the results can be.
